Year 11 mock interviews with local employers

A big thank you to all of the local employers and volunteers who came into school to do ‘mock interviews’ with our Year 11 students. We welcomed interviewers from Tarmac, Tenneco, Breedon, Swizzels-Matlow, NFU Mutual, SETA Training and Advisory Services Ltd, Nexperia, Ask Real Estate, the Department for Education and Inside Out Forest School, plus Chapel High Alumni who are now successfully working in industry or university research roles.

This careers activity was designed to get students ready for their future interviews with colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers. Year 11s have been planning for their interviews in tutor time over the last few weeks, with practice questions and ‘top tips’ on how to prepare and perform well.

It was a fantastic couple of days and we received some great feedback from the interviewers who were impressed with how focussed, confident and prepared our students were. This opportunity gave our Year 11s some great experience and they now feel more confident about interview situations. Well done to Year 11, you did a great job!
