This key role within the Governing Body requires a highly organised individual who will at all times maintain confidentiality, impartiality and a professional manner. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Chair of Governors and the Headteacher.
The ideal candidate will have experience of organising meetings, preparing agendas, accurately recording minutes and disseminating all relevant information in a timely manner. Excellent listening, verbal, written and IT skills are essential.
Flexibility in terms of working hours is needed and you may be required to clerk other working groups and panels as requested.
Previous clerking experience and knowledge of Governing Body procedures is desirable but not essential.

Application Pack - Clerk to Governors
Hours: Governing body meetings are generally held on a Monday evening, 6.00pm-7.30pm, and there are around 18 meetings over the academic year. A flexible approach will be required for other meetings. Additional admin time will be allowed which can be worked at from home.
Hours will be approximately 150 hours per year, over 39 weeks. Term time plus inset days.
Salary: £2,366 - £2,579 (pay award pending)
