University of Oxford inspires students

We were delighted to welcome the University of Oxford into school to deliver talks to students as part of our raising aspirations activities. Year 11s learnt about the different types of courses available, the college system and what it is like to study at Oxford. They also found out about the huge number of clubs and societies on offer to students and got a taster of university life. Students took part in a short quiz to find out how they like to learn and to see what types of subjects might suit them at university. Year 10s learnt about the benefits of going to university, what studying at this level is like and the different types of activities students can get involved with outside of their studies.

The talks were inspiring and have really got our students thinking about their next steps after school and what might be right for them in the future. A big thank you to Eve and Luke from St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford.
