Planning a trip is never straightforward, and we’re always grateful for the goodwill and support of our staff. From completing risk assessments to liaising with theatres and transport providers, negotiating the best possible prices, and ensuring our students have enriching experiences - it’s a big team effort! So, when Storm Goretti decided to make an appearance on Thursday, we faced yet another challenge. True to form, our students and staff rose to the occasion brilliantly. Fifty Year 11 students enjoyed a fantastic interpretation of Dickens’ classic novella ‘A Christmas Carol’ at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. Feedback was glowing - students described the acting as “amazing” and admitted they were genuinely spooked by Marley’s ghost! Many were surprised by how close Sheffield is and loved the intimate atmosphere of The Crucible. As always, behaviour was impeccable, and we’re already looking forward to planning our next trip.
