Students win Little Cherubs Christmas card competition

Little Cherubs, a children’s clothes bank base in Chapel-en-le-Frith, invited students from local schools to take part in their Christmas card competition. We are pleased to confirm that two talented designers from Chapel High won the competition and their designs will be professionally printed and sold to raise money for the charity.

The judges could not choose between Nellie J and Livi-Boe C’s wonderful designs, and so decided to declare the Year 7s joint winners. Nellie’s design has also been chosen to advertise the charity’s “Warm Winter” campaign on social media. Both students received printed copies of their designs, gift vouchers and a Christmas selection box.

Congratulations also goes to the runners up in Daniel S (Year 8) and Lucy M (Year 7), who also won a gift voucher and a selection box for their efforts. Little Cherubs expressed their thanks to all the students who entered - they found it really hard to pick the winners from such a great variety of designs.

The Little Cherubs clothing bank was set up to support families whose finances were hit by the pandemic. It was such a great success that it is now also helping refugees across the UK and overseas. The charity is also keen to emphasise the importance of extending the life of clothing by reusing it to reduce environmental impact.
