Students watch thrilling performance of ‘An Inspector Calls’

Over 80 students from Years 9, 10 and 11 travelled to The Lowry in Salford Quays to watch JB Priestley’s classic thriller, ‘An Inspector Calls’. All of our students study this modern morality play as one of their set texts for GCSE English. The group were excited to see it performed live at the theatre, bringing their classroom studies to life.

Students were impressed by the unique stage production at The Lowry and thrilled by the performances, especially where one character, Eric, threw a glass which smashed dramatically across the stage. Throughout the play, startling revelations about the characters threaten to challenge their comfortable lives and in turn the production forces the audience to examine their own consciences.

We are very proud of this group of students who represented our school brilliantly, behaving impeccably throughout the trip – well done!
