Students shine in Springboard Future Chef competition

Two of our talented Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students competed in stage 2 of the prestigious Springboard Future Chef competition at Trafford College. The competition celebrates young people’s cooking talents and aims to inspire them to pursue a career in hospitality. The challenge for our students, Holly and Daniel, was to plan, prepare and cook a dish for two people in just one hour, and within a budget of no more than £5.

Holly and Daniel were excited to use the professional kitchen facilities and worked hard to prepare two impressive dishes for the judges who are both top Manchester chefs. Our competitors showed a great passion for cooking and presented final dishes which looked fantastic.

Mrs Wicks, Hospitality and Catering teacher, said:

“I am incredibly proud of the students’ performances. They both showed outstanding bravery, confidence, and composure under pressure, impressing everyone with their skills and determination. Well done, team!”

Thank you to Holly and Daniel for representing our school so brilliantly and for inspiring other students with their catering skills.
