Student success at Chemquiz competition

Four of our talented chemists went to take part in the Chemquiz at the School of Chemistry at Manchester Metropolitan University. Our team was made up of students from different key stages and competition was fierce as they faced 32 other teams from across the North West.

The students worked together on three chemistry challenges: a mystery practical to solve, a confusing chemistry quiz and a spectacular chemical demonstration section. We are delighted to confirm that team Chapel High won the demonstration section and are now the proud owners of some impressive trophies.

Miss Brooke, Deputy Head of Science, said:
“It was excellent to see our students competing alongside some of the best young chemists in the North West. The teamwork, determination and knowledge of our team was very impressive and I’m very proud of them.”
