Chapel High has been proud to support Teenage Cancer Trust for 25 years now. This wonderful charity works to improve the cancer experience of young people aged 13-24 in the UK. Every year our Year 10 students raise money for this great cause by taking part in a sponsored walk through our beautiful local countryside.
We welcomed charity representative, Emma Cross, for a special assembly to introduce the trust to our Year 10s and to launch this year’s school campaign. Students learnt about the amazing specialist teenage units that are set up in NHS hospitals and how funds raised also go towards training teenage cancer specialists. Our Year 11s also came to meet Emma and hand over the cheque for the money they raised from their walk last year.
This year’s sponsored walk will take place on Wednesday 21st June. Further details, including how to sponsor our students and make a donation, will be sent out soon.
