Post-16 Evening for Year 11s

Here at Chapel High we work hard to prepare our students for a successful life after school, making sure they know about the wide range of options available to them at post-16. As part of our Careers programme we organised a Post-16 Evening for parents and Year 11 students. We invited over 20 colleges, sixth forms and local employers to have an exhibition stand in our restaurant. Students and parents had the opportunity to talk to each of the post-16 provider courses, apprenticeships and traineeships. Parents also attended a talk by our senior leadership team and a local college to learn more about the different options, where these can lead to in the future and the application process.

The event was a great success with students learning more about what is available to them at post- 16 and asking some fantastic questions to get the most out of the event. We would like to say a big thank you to all of the exhibitors who came along to support us:
