We always like to encourage students to follow their passions and interests outside of the classroom here at Chapel High. Our list of clubs is always growing, and our school Warhammer Clubs are now back up and running thanks to support from a local hobby business. We have a long history of supporting Warhammer and have previously been highly placed in national competitions.
These clubs are open to all students, whether they are experienced players or total newcomers. There’s a student led club every Friday lunchtime in P&E2, and an after school club every Red Wednesday after school (3.15pm to 4.30pm in P&E2). Students can come along and share their enthusiasm for the game with like-minded friends and learn skills like painting the delicate figures.
We are very grateful for the generous help of Oliver George from High Peak Hobbies who helps to run the club every fortnight and has kindly donated resources for our students.
We will be running a Warhammer Painting Competition for all group members soon, and there will be a Warhammer prize, kindly donated by Oliver. Any students who are interested in this can speak to Ms Metcalfe for more details.
