Helping to tackle knife crime with Buxton Police

Thank you to Buxton Police youth engagement team who came into school to talk to our students about the impact of knife crime. This was part of a nationwide campaign, Operation Sceptre, which aims to tackle knife crime by engaging with communities, taking part in anti-knife crime activities and hosting a knife amnesty. Part of this work is also educating and reassuring young people that they are safer not carrying knives, and to walk away from harm. The police team answered students’ questions, talked to them about the devastating consequences of knife crime and gave advice about keeping safe.
