Parents - Staying Safe in School

We work hard in school to try to keep students and staff safe. Please help us to keep everyone safe by following this guidance:

School is open as normal and all students should attend school.

However, students should not attend school if they have any symptoms that may be COVID-19. If students have symptoms, they should book and take an NHS PCR test (not one of the school lateral flow tests). Only if they receive a negative PCR test result should they return to school.

All students should take twice-weekly lateral flow tests at home and log the result here. If they test positive on a lateral flow test they should take an NHS PCR test and remain at home until they get the result.

Students are now required to wear masks indoors in school unless they are exempt, this includes in lessons. Students should continue to wear masks on buses and trains. The vast majority of our students are very sensible about wearing masks in school.

We are keeping school well ventilated and as a result, it is colder than normal in school. For this reason, we are allowing students to wear coats in school if necessary.

We are asking students to follow one-way systems in school to reduce crowding on corridors.
