Our GCSE drama students were recently lucky enough to experience a 2 hour workshop with a practitioner from the award winning Frantic Assembly. To inspire them in their own devised work Amelia Cardwell from Frantic Assembly explained the 'Frantic Method', using Physical theatre to explore themes and plot lines within a performance. She referred to the award winning 'Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time' a collaboration between Frantic and the National Theatre which became a west end hit performance. Students were taught to do simple lifts and weight transference along with exploring a simple idea physically. One student, Natasha Eaton said 'She showed us that we could move physically like the scenes we've seen them do, using eye contact and moving in sync, I really enjoyed it'
