Over the next few months, all pupils will be taking part in a new “Dragons’ Den” style project to help find solutions to environmental issues which affect our school. Working in pairs during tutor time on Wednesdays, pupils will design an invention, app or other solution to tackle environmental problems such as traffic congestion, reducing plastic waste and lowering the carbon footprint of the school. Each pair will then create a presentation about their idea to deliver to their tutor group in a “Dragons’ Den” type of competition. Tutor groups will vote on the best idea and prizes will be awarded to the wining pair. This week the project will start with pupils choosing which environmental issue they would like to try and tackle by watching five short videos about environmental issues in school. We will keep you posted on their progress!
